Not sure how many people noticed that the banks and the post office was closed yesterday. It was Columbo day yesterday. It was the day that we recogonize as the day that Columbo was thrown out of Spain for asking one too many "Just one more question" and sent to America where he became a famous TV detective.

Is Peter Faulk any relation to that Guy Faulks that they celebrate in England?

Okay Soren, I'll go along with this one, IF you'll get behind my drive to create yet another excuse for a 3-day weekend which I'm callin' "MATLOCK DAY", dude!!!

(which of course would be celebrated nationwide on the first monday after Andy Griffith's birthday)

Well, while YOU are gone(where the heck have you been, BTW???), we DID have a Dwight Day around here!(see...you MISSED IT!!!)

The plan was that everybody here was to ramble on and on about the inconsequentials of life, BUT it turned out that nobody could stay on point, which of course caused mass confusion!

And sooooo....we had to drop Dwight Day from our social calender here at BA.com!!!

(ya see what kind'a "fun" you miss here when you don't stay in touch, dude!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Indeed Mr FJ my little Faulk that analogy WAS much more classy than your FUBAR of yesterday dishonoring fallen firegighters.

learn to see the difference.

WATCH OUT, SHANE! I hope you realize UTAH is located right between Arizona and Montana(okay, so Wyoming is in the way up there too) and those scud missles are notorious for their inaccurate trajectory!!!!

In other words...I think you might be caught in the middle there in SLC as these two go at it!. TAKE SHELTER DUDE!!!!)

(NOW do you see what "fun" you've been missin'???)

Good to hear the reason for your absence was a busy schedule, and not some sort of bad circumstances.(like a Mexican jail, for instance)

Yep! We were a little concerned 'round here.

Nice to have ya back!

(and start plannin' right now for that mid-May ride to Prescott in '08)

Hey, speaking of Guy Fawkes day. Its nearly here. 5 November and the bonfire pile is getting bigger... about 3 meters high and a 6 meter circle. Had a few trees fall in the paddocks this winter and after cutting the firewood, still a a lot of small branches. Celebrate it every year (unless the fire bans came early).
