I'm sure this has come up before, but I didn't get a hit searching...
What do people recommend as the best Crash Bars for an America/Speedmaster ?
Actually, the only place I found selling them (other than Triumph) was BellaCorse. I'm suspicious of bars with a welded flat piece in the middle; looks like they wouldfold up too easily.... I have Rivco on my R III, but they don't list something for the Speedmaster,
Cheers/Thanks

Best as in strongest! ;-)
I'm going to be having my wife and sister-in-law start learning on my Speedmaster.. I'm mostly riding my Rocket now anyway. But I've got a lot of valuable/vulnerable goodies on the Speedie... need some protection.

The strongest? Then you do want Triumph's.

I'm also thinking about putting engine guards on my bike. The Triumph ones look pretty good. How hard are they to install?
Thanks

I have the Ma's bars on my 02. Exceptionally strong. However, they don't make them anymore.

Very easy indeed, half hour if that.

The Triumph ones are an easy install and offer great protection. How do I know? I went down on my right side and they protected the engine and the tank. I scuffed my mirror and brake lever, and bent my foot brake, but that stuff was easy to replace compared to the tank. And I love the look too.
Oh man!! I'm going to jail!!
