Need to know the wire connections from the tach to the existing wiring harness.

Thanks,

Hank

In the shop book at the tach multi-connector the green wire goes to ground and the red comes from the ignitor. The should also be two wires for the backlight and most likely the black in the multi-connector would be the ground, the other color would be hot. You'll have to match the Drag Specilaties wires to that.

wired it up using the factory wires under the dash. There is a 2 wire plug under the dash the red wire is to the coil and the green and read wire is hot with the ignition on. The tach has 4 wires. You wire it Green to the Red coil wire, Black to ground (I used the Brown ground wire for the clock), Red is hot for the tach and Blue it hot for the light I wired them both to the Green hot for the tach.

Can't remember who posted this but I used in when I installed mine.
Couldn't find it in the Tech Vault.....may be a candidate.

Okay, either my book schematic has an error or I need new bifocals...

afternoon update: it's going to be new bifocals...

Thanks Ronnie, your wiring directions were simple and spot on. Tach works perfectly.......
