Just got back from the Paris bike show (had work over there so decided to go). Stopped by the Triumph chalet (if you can call it that), checked out the 2008 BA and realized it is EFI. Apparently they hid the fuel injectors inside some dummy carb housings. They are actually CVK carbs with the guts removed. You can't tell the difference except for the missing carb heater wires. The computer chip appears to be attached to the frame under the tank. I'm not sure how easy they would be to remap. Curiously, the choke knob is still there and will pull out the slide, to do what I don't know. No info on a rumoured 1500cc cruiser (probably due to a language barrier since all the reps were from french Triumph dealers). After playing around the Harley, Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawasaki cruisers (Honda did not bring their VTX cruisers), I think the Triumph RIII rules in the big cruiser department. If Triumph could resize the radiator and go to a single headlamp that would go a long way in the looks department.

The European models will have EFI, everywhere else (until mid-late '08) will have carbs.

I would love to be able to go to the Paris Motorcycle show someday.
