Looks very similar to the Emgo reverse cones I have on my Bonnie which are throaty but not too loud. Is there an image looking into the outlet?

Yes, but I cant find it now. Looks like a "grouping" of hole in a honeycomb arrangement.

These look huge at the ends. I wonder if they will drag in turns...

So, I am guessing that they would go to about the front of the rear wheel?

I wouldnt think they would drag, especially if you tilted them up a little bit so the bottom line is parallel with the ground.

I had a set on my Tbird sport for a while( I know its a different animal) but I liked the sound - little louder than the stock ones and were definately lighter. Keep them clean though because I don't remember the chrome and welds being the highest quality.

Dale at Specialty Spares sells these on ebay for $100 a pair + $27.50 shipping to Alabama. He said they've been installed on Americas.
The old Dunstall Decibel pipes I used to use were a reverse cone style. They were fairly quiet but had a VERY deep note.
When the glass burned out they were moderately loud and maintained the deep tone. They really cracked when you twisted hard. Here's a link:

I was wondering a few things. How come they are so cheap? cos from the video clip they sound alright and not too loud, or is that just my ears? Also does anyone know of anyone who has fitted them to an America or speedie? I mean, at that price I would have thought it would be "get into line buddy" or am I missing something

Understand that the YouTube video/soundclip are with the pipes on a Bonneville. Whole different animal, completely different sound.

Thanks Nathen, I didn't realise. Probably cos I was looking at the hard bags I guess.

So Bryan, does that mean you or someone else are getting a set cos I am interested in this one. I think I'm interested in anything different that comes on the market for our bikes though. I might have a problem I think but I know I'm not the only one

Phil, I take you point too regards "animals" being different

An update. The pipes showed up and didn't fit. They are Emgo's. The ad says they fit 1 3/4" pipes, but the inlet itself is 1 3/4 with two sets of reducers. The guy I bought them from said the distributor messed up, gave me a full refund and paid shipping both ways. They did look like they would have great tone. He actually paid his asking price for shipping, which means I made $4 on the deal- lol. Awesome guy. Sells Triumph stuff on eBay. He deserves a plug, so here is his store on eBay.
