I was looking and looking for instructions on how to remove the AI, until I just gave up and went for it. In an effort to be a community minded guy, I had my daughter take pictures, and wrote up a little how-to article here... http://www.radwarrior.com/2007/10/07/RemovingTheAirInjectionFromMyTriumphBonnevilleAmericaTBA.aspxIf you'd rather the article be posted here on this site, let me know and I'll send you the pics and markup. Also, please let me know if I missed anything or did anything wrong. Thanks!
He came up and asked, "What are you riding?" I looked at him and said, "Triumph Bonneville America" and he got that 'hellz yeah' look in his eye.

nice job on the write up...........
one thing I wouldnt do is remove the fuel cap. No need to do it for console removal and you run the risk of dropping ta screw in there

Great write-up. Always good to have pics to go along with step-by-step stuff.

I always wondered what that AI stuff looked like; mine came already removed, all I added was Brent's kit for a neater look. Thanks for the pictures.

I tried first without removing the fuel cap, but the console wouldn't come off without the fuel cap off, so I removed it.

I figured the fuel line/clamp removal technique was so simple that it didn't require photo documentation. But I could be pursuaded to modify the doco to include that.

The problem is people take things literally... "boo hoo, you didn't tell me to take the fuel line off!"

I finally did mine today (along with some other stuff) using this writeup (well done) and the one in the Tech Vault - worked like a charm and actually pretty quick if one already has the tank off. Only problem I had was not being able to get a normal box or open wrench to work on the injectors - finally just broke off the tube and used a regular socket and extension. And yeah I need to order some of the fancy chrome plugs to be totally happy with it.

Ok. bonnyusa, your point is well taken. I added a bullet point on removing the fuel line (no picture), and I even mentioned turning off the petcock first! I like saying, "petcock".

Good show Philip , But I would never chuck the lot, never know when you might need it. Mines in the box with the standard pipes.

Well, after I wrote that, I put the AI junk in a paper bag and put it in a plastic storage box that has a few other things from the bike.
I guess I will just keep things like that in case the next owner wants it. Plus, keeping meticulate records and all extra parts will probably show the next owner that I took good care of the bike and may actually increase the bike's value.
However, in regard to the original pipes, I am going to send those off to (EBayID Chevy605) so he can mod them for the next guy.

Great instructions just use them...offset closed-in wrench works great for unscrewing the fitting from the head.
Hate workin' for the man...
