Hello everyone. I just registered for the forums here, after doing a lot of reading most of the day from work

Within the next week or so I will most likely be buying an 07 Speedmaster. I keep reading nothing but good things about the Triumph machines and really like the looks and styling of that bike.

As for my experience riding, well, I just took the MSF course last weekend, and cannot wait to get back onto a bike. I am going tomorrow to test ride one from RPM Cycles here in town. Wish me luck!

You are looking at a great bike to start on. I bought a Speedy in November 2005 after passing the MSF Course. The bike has been very good to me over almost 15,000 miles.

Congratulations! Good luck, and ride safe!

Buy the Speedmaster. You'll be happy you did! The guys at RPM are great. I bought my bike in Plano, but looking back, I should have gone to RPM. We have several DFW area members here, so we have to get everyone together sometime soon.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!

I went and did a test ride today at the dealer. Very nice ride! The only thing is I need to get used to the clutch play. I ended up stalling it 3 times before getting out of the parking lot. Lets hope nobody witnessed that...

But, I still think I will end up getting the bike. I just have one reservation so far. I have very little time in the seat and start getting nervous when I get some speed. I'm guessing that a lot of people go through this when they first start out and that it will pass with more time in the saddle.

Chuck,
Yep, you will get used to it. My TBA is my first real bike and got it in late July. It took me a few weeks to get used to anything over 40-45 mph and dealing with traffic. 2 weeks ago, I was roaring down I-405 South at something less then 80 mph. I'm hardly a pro, but I feel much more comfortable in the saddle now.
Just take it easy at first. Get used to the clutch and gear shifting, leaning in turns and braking.
You'll quickly pick it up. And just have fun with it!!!

even very experienced riders, (here) will tell you, every day in the saddle is a learning experience.
i remember when 20mph felt fast.
i remember the elation when the bike clicked its first 1000 miles on the odometer.
the elation didn't wane when Blue clicked 25000 last weekend.

Ok, I just got back from the dealer. I am now the owner of a 2007 Speedmaster.

The only thing is he does not have the accessories in stock and had to order them. That means I can either take it home tomorrow and get it back to him on Saturday, or just wait until this weekend to pick it up.

I'm still undecided on this part, but excited about owning the bike.

Take it home tomorrow.
