63 220 is my guess. I suppose we are supposed to guess on what it is. Looks pretty cancer free. If a Maryland car will probably still be wanting a frame off sandblasting job. all the parts are there though, great start Starting a funeral parlor?

1967 230s auto, floor shift. no air , I think it was removed. good solid cali car with a blown motor coupled with a rust bucket mid-atlantic car with a good running motor. loads of extra parts. and it was FREE , I just have to do some electric work for my Bro/inlaw. his wife said it had to go, been sitting over a year. got it started today, will not move, needs brakes freed. and trany fluids drained/filters replaced.
and the wood is totally shot.but overall a good solid car.

Mine was a 68, auto, no air, black with red interior and a really solid car. Yours is the last year with the mini fins, I believe. Gotta love the old girl...

I had a 69 280S in the mid 80's. Nearly the same colour. Mighty fine automobile.........wish I had the maturity back then to treat it with the respect it deserved! Even went roo shooting in it. One of these day's I might find a replacement for it, and treat it right.

My first car was my mom's old 1958 Mercedes 220S. No hard angles.. everything was rounded. 4 on the tree.. lots of wood..no air and the heater was fried.. Thing lasted forever.. same color as yours. The hubcaps were apparently in big demand.. stolen on average of 2 sets per year

The bonnet emblem on mine went missing 5 times.. ...got to the stage I would take it off if I parked on the street.

Wait a minute, is this really Snekepte posting? That TR7 looks like you can just drive it, no wrenching... very un-Pete like! (it's a beaut!) Quote:

5 speed? 4 cyl? if so.. Zenith Strombergs or Webbers? Things I've learned... The convertible top leaks.. no matter what you do.. but you can slow it down. No one (evidently) on this continent can supply you with a new radiator.. or fix yours. It takes a musician to synchronize Zenith Stromberg carbs The floor boards tend to rust out.. because the top leaks. It's no wonder at all why cable drive wipers didn't catch on. The lug nut studs are 15.00 each. Pull out every fuse.. disconnect every connection, take apart every switch, clean the terminals and add dielectric grease and Lord Lucas shall ne'er rear his ugly ahead again. The headlights will never come up at the same time... just be thankful when they do. The heater ain't as good as it really should be. Raising and lowering a convertible top is an art form. Do not try it without proper instruction. Don't leave it sit for too long, the clutch plate will rust to the flywheel. Don't let an idiot tow truck driver load it on a roll back facing backwards... note my year and a half search for a new hood..bonnet.. the thing that covers my engine. It's a totally cool little car and a blast to drive. Congratulations!

Ok, so I leave work early to go to the MVA. I want to title and tag the Benz and the TR7. the triumph is easy , just transfer the tags from the firebird I sold recently. the benz, well the nice lady at the counter says , " you should come back another day. we are out of historic tags , should have more tomorrow. " How does the Motor Vehicle Addministration run out of tags? Historic tags no less. So I think I will wait until I can get the benz more road worthy ( aka "running" ) to get the title and tag work done. but hey , the Triumph is now legal and on the road.
