I would have filled the threaded hole in the tank before painting. The paint job looks great but the added on TRIUMPH logo on the clear plastic takes away from it. It kinda looks like an after thought. IMO EZ

I think the custom paint looks great but the badges take away from the custom look. Maybe if it was painted on.........

That paint is nice...I agree with others...those badges just dont do it justice. I dont think any badges will enhance it....show off that tank!

I think a totally clear Triumph badge would be killer...like the Impala SS logo on the 94-96 Chevys...I'm not so much on the white you show here but more because it doesn't pick up or compliment any of the custom paint tones on that nice tank...

roadie has a point..,..maybe if it was a different color. I keep coming back to this thread to look at that pic. I was also thinking if some of that clear plastic could be eliminated it might help.

As above, take them off as fast as you can. The paint is great though.

He wasn't......look at the 06 (the left hand one....)
Then I got some Thruxton Badges and now it has 'normal' ones just repainted a dark shade of purple.
Just didn't like the way they covered a bit of the flame.

I cant say that im a fan of the sneezegaurd badge completely. But I do think it has potential. One problem is that the paint is really busy and the logo is plain white. Maybe a color match tone with an outline would look a bit better... or maybe just even an outline on the white.. Still i think the shape of the plexiglass is a little wierd, I cant change that..ahah...but what if it were tinted slightly?...

I like that the logo floats over the paint and you can see the custom graphics below it. But I don't like the shape of the plexiglass. I'd like to see the logo floating with the logo more closely outlined with the plexiglass. Alternatively the logo could be cut out of sheet aluminum and polished or tooled, or cast like the original badge.

I dig it, man....I think the plexiglass badge looks great over your fantastic paint job. You've got the Triumph rebel spirit, brother.

Friar John stole my comment. The badge has potential, but needs an interesting shape of it's own. Maybe cut like a flame?

I just don't think the whole plastic thing is working, looks cheap and takes away from a nice paint job. I think the eyebrow retro badges would look much better than those since you still have the screw holes. Maybe a clear badge like the origonal cut out of plastic so you can still see the whole paint job would work but the sneeze guard (as coined above) just looks bad in my opinion.

I think it looks different....which is what allot of people like.
To me, a triumph needs to retain it's badging regardless of the custom paint job. On your bike you can still have the badges and show of the sick paint underneath.
I think it looks freak'n good! nice job!
question---that is an 08' tank. is there a little "lip" at the bottom of the tank like in past years or is it just the photos?

I also like the look of Eds shop job. cut that look out and drill it and lose the rest of the extrainious plastic and I think it would look great.
