Hi all
Has anyone used this oil and can give me some info.
I was after Motul 5100 15W50 as that is what was put in on first service. They didnt have any so I opted for the Motul 7100 10W40. It is fully synthetic.

Regards

Derek

If the clutch is not slipping, (which is unlikely anyway) all is well

It's a motorcycle specific, fully synthetic motor oil.
It'll be just fine.

I run 10W40 (Mobile 1 MX4T) in my bike year round, and summers get to 117 degrees (47C). I've had no problems whatsoever, and in two valve clearance checks 12 and 24k miles, I haven't had to adjust.

Thx for the replies guys.
In the meantime waiting for responses I got hold of the Motul sales rep. He assured me that the product was newly released here in Aus and that it is fine for the Speedmaster.
I was just a we bit nervous since any oil I have used in the past has been amber or brown and this was red like transmission fluid.
Thx again for the replies
Derek

I see your point.
That red oil might have an adverse effect on your fast black Speedmaster

The 7100 may be red but remember the 5100 is green.

Hi Derek, I've sent you a personal email asking you what the contact details were for the Motul rep?
