I know a lot has been posted on Oil Filters, but I hadn't seen this chart/review yet. Looks like the PureONE is ahead of the pack!! http://calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/FilterStudy.html

This chart makes it look that way,I saw one that had the Amsoil & K&N at the top but the way that one was worded might explain the different result. The other page I saw (I'll see if I can find it again and post it) only tested and talked about the size of particles the media would catch and said nothing about amount of media or the valve or anything else. This page states about "flawed superior filter" about a couple of them.
Does make me wanna go get a PureOne since I have the Napa Gold on mine and according to this chart thats a bad one. For the price of a filter (even an expensive one) it doesn't pay to go cheap in my opinion.
Thanx for the info.

This is an old review. The Amsoil oil filter tested is no longer made and has been replaced by a totally redesigned oil filter. The new filter is at least a 100% better in every category when compared to the old Amsoil filter.

Take a look at the following. The first link is for cars & trucks, but the filters are designed the same for motorcycles. The second link is a writeup on the motorcycles oil filters. Hope it helps. Ea Oil Filter Ea Motorcycle oil filter

Interesting that the Amsoil can filter out 15 micron particles.

I am slain for sure. My K & N is just a cheapie "average" filter with a six dollar nut on the end?
Oh ...WOE is me. but then maybe the K & N 191 is better than average?

The Amsoil filter is 98.7% efficient to 15 microns. At 80% it will filter down to 1 micron. This plus the fact it has a much great load capacity, they rate the new motorcycle filters at twice the manufacturers recommended change interval or once a year. The old Amsoil filter was only rated at 6,000 miles or 6 months.

Since I can buy two "superior" Pure One filters for what my "average" K&N goes for it looks like I'll be jumping brands next oil change. Okay, so it's not really about the money but the life of my engines (bonus round: it's going to sound great to my financial officer).
