Ed & Vickie,

Wanted to say thanks for the hospitality and you opening up your house for the group. I had a great time. Don’t know who planned the route for Saturday’s ride but whoever it was, you did a good job. Only downside was I didn’t get to meet everyone before I left. Saw some old faces which were good to see again (the guys I met at Triumph Come Home) and finally met some more members from this site and as usual they are really good people. Great to finally meet Mert. Can’t wait for the next rally. Only took 7 hours to get back to Maryland…..

I made it home about 2:00 just in time to watch the Steelers kick some butt! Couldn't ask for better weather this whole weekend, made the whole trip that much better. Great time and thanks again to Ed and Vicky for continuing with the rally after plans didn't work out for Pat this year. Great seeing everyone again and hope everyone makes it home safe. Till next year, Ron

home around 4. had a great time. Thx especially to ed and vickie for hosting, to pete for his electric chauffeur help when my battery packed it in on Saturday morning. Thanks to Mert, Wojo, and Matt for intersection guarding and to everyone else who attended for making it such a great event.

By the way, who scared off that bambi for us on Saturday night? Was that you in the lead John and Nancy? What a great treat to see the native wildlife so close up. I was really glad I was at the back of that pack!

I made it home. Had the best time I could have being on four wheels, Thanks for the great weekend Ed and Vicki!
Here's my pictures, most of them are from the train bridge.

The 21 bikes that made the ride on Friday...

From the Trian Bridge...

This is where I took those pictures from...

I didn't even know grape pie existed until this weekend but from what Mark and Charlie said, it's the best thing ever!

And though it's not completed in this picture, by the time we left Matt's house the Beeramyd was big enough to bury a small mummy in...

Hope you enjoyed the pics, it was a great weekend!

I just down loaded the pics from the go back to the park
ride we did on Sat. Spare me the wisecracks about how I'm
too stupid to post pics. These shots are breathtaking to say
the least. Who want's to re-size and post for me?

Ya gotta see these shots!

I am exhausted,
7 hours in the saddle back home,
unpacked the bike,
jump in car,
drove an hour south to fetch my dog,
try to explain the huge grin on my face,
catch up on the football scores,
(Steelers still undefeated! )
drove back north,
walk the dog on a perfect moon lite night,
thinking it would be great to take the bike out again if my butt wasn't so sore and I could stop walking funny!

All I can think of right now is WOW!!! It went by too fast. ED and Vicki were fantastic hosts. Everything seem to go smoothly, and that does happen without some hard work.

Martin & Carla, Geoffrey, and unclecharlie, Saturday's tour of the park was absolutely the right call, it was my honor to ride with you.

Matt is was great to meet you and I'll keep you posted on my Vegas adventure.

Thank goodness I have one more day off.
Tuesday and Wednesday in the office to put out any fires before flying out to Vegas for a reunion of old submarine shipmates and Bikefest, baby !!!!

Hopefully I can find a motorcycle to ride for at least a few miles out there.

Thanks to everyone for making my first BA.com rally a great memory.

I made it home yesterday and unpacked. Behind me a couple of hours was Charlie and he spent the night here. Last night we went out for some "coffee and pastries", had some mature intellectual conversation and then called it a night at a responsible hour.

A big Thank You to Ed and Vickie for hosting the rally. I really enjoyed everything...Hospitality and food were gread, the setting was perfect, weather was perfect, both rides were great: beautiful scenery and well-planned. Thanks to Matt, Ed, Pat, and everybody who kept things moving together.

I woke up before 5:00 Sunday morning, couldn't go back to sleep, and decided that I wanted to get home before my kids went to bed. Waited around a little while to see if anybody else was getting up...silence. Under the cover of darkness, I rolled out of the Lafayette at about 6:15 (hope I didn't wake up anybody), and, 637 miles later, pulled into my driveway at 7:30...just in time to hear about their weekend and to read a bed-time story. Perfect ending to a great weekend.

I saw a million pictures I wanted to take, but only snapped a few...Here's a couple:

That amazing sunset

Checkin' in from the trailer of sin. (That's Yota's place for those that don't know that reference.) Made it through the border crossing back to the states this morning after a night on the town with Wojo. Do they do body cavity searches on everyone? Man what a great rally. Putting faces to all those yankee names was great. Yall sure do talk funny up there. yota is showing off his guitar skills right now. The boy is actually pretty good. One or two more days on the road and my fun will be over. Got to be back at work on friday evening. See yall next time!

So you had perfect weather for the whole rally? I know I always get wet going to or coming from a rally (and sometimes a little bit in between). I can't ever seem to ride my Speedy nowadays without rain coming down sometime during the ride even at home. Maybe it is is me? Wish I had been there.
