Just wondering if any body has any pics of a bike with shrouds removed,if so I am guessing that the tubes have to be slipped from the triple trees? Actuall I am thinking of slipping gaiters on after,i will see what it looks like plain.Since i am on the subject,I think that triumph should have put a solid triple tree instead of the recessed one which came stock, mind you I could get one made Hmmm.... more money(wifes going to love that) .I guess it keeps cost down so a reg dude like me can afford a beutiful ride like a 07 speedmaster. Also has anyone changed the front brake resovoir so it is a little more inconspicuous.thanks to this site I am getting oodles of ideas for my on going project.......

Lots of folks have done it.
Here's mine:

I removed upper & lower shrouds.
Some have removed lowers only.

If you don't mind destroying the shrouds, you don't have to remove the fork legs, just cut the shroud.

I removed the forks....loosen the clamp bolts (upper and lower) and the forks slide out...use some WD40 on the forks when you put them in the clamps (makes them slide in easer)

I took the shrouds off long ago, when I first changed the fork oil.Well I just changed the oil again a couple of weekends ago at 35,000 miles. This time I installed the black gators on the forks.Got them off of www.newspeedmaster.com a few months ago.I like the looks and it helps protect the fork tubes somewhat.
