What product do most of you use on your Memphis Shades wind screens to keep them clean and scratch free?

I use Mother's Carnauba Cleaner Wax on my bike and my windshield. The carnauba oil in the wax is very good for the plastic and the wax protects it. With a good coat of wax on the shield all you have to do to clean off bugs, etc. is to soak the bugs, dirt, etc. with a wet wash rag until it easily wipes off. Then, dry with a clean soft towel. The extremely mild cleaner abrasive helps keep off fine scratches. Once you have it waxed, don't use regular windshield cleaners as they will remove the wax. Just water or mild soap and water is all you will ever need.

Windex*...and yeah I know it's "bad" for it but so far I have no ill effects and its been about 18 months...Oh and I rain-ex* it and my helmet shield too...with some crappy old rain-ex* from a million years ago and no fogging either....perhaps I'm just lucky...nah I would have hit Lotto by now if that were true...
* DO NOT use these products on YOUR bike it WILL screw them up! The author is just having a run of Sh!tluck soon his Mephis Shades shield will be a giant ball of scratched (he uses paper towels with the windex) foggy yellow junk.

If you don't plan on having it on all the time, an old T-shirt is perfect for keeping it looking good. Storing it in a cardboard box will also protect it.

If I'm just cleaning the windshield I soak it for a half hour or so by throwing a wet towel over it to loosen bugs and crap. I then use the same towel to softly wipe away the bugs. Then I use a cotton cloth to dry it and wipe away any streaks.
If I'm cleaning the entire bike I just hit it with the soft bristled car wash brush and car cleaning detergent to loosen eveything and then use the power washer to clean and rinse it. Cotton diaper or old t-shirt to dry.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

If you'll put a good coat of wax on the shield after you've cleaned it, it will be much easier to get bugs off and you'll avoid a lot of scratches. I'm a big believer in carnauba wax.

i posted a question about rain-x here, got reply about using honda polish on windshield and faceshield[thanks guys] and tried it, it works great. MOTORCYCLE STUFF is same thing, i usually use these products to clean my bike, no water, keep rust down, just my .02 worth. [p.s., i have 2 cans of PLEXUS, good STUFF!!!!!!!
