I have searched the archives but don't seem to be able to find the answer to this issue. The throttle grip on my 07 Speedmaster sometimes sticks and does not return to idle when I release it, leaving it revving high. I see some of the group have had problems with the cables but this seems to be more to do with the throttle grip sticking. It is still under warranty so could take it back to the dealer, but if it is simple to rectify I wouldn't mind doing myself. Just started week 1 of a basic motorcycle maintenance course at night school so you get the idea that I am not that clued up on these things yet. They showed me how to put my overall on this week!!! If any one can assist I would appreciate it.

Loosen the two allens on the bottom of the throttle housing, wiggle housing, align and retighten.

I had this happen on my America, the grip itself started rubbing against the housing. This was after it was sitting outside in the sun all day. Might just have to see if it can be pulled away a bit. See if it's rubbing first, before doing adjustments.

I second Dinqua's method.
