I recently changed the bars and risers on my America to SM bars and risers, but did not change any cables or wires. I have noticed that my throttle sticks when the bars are turned to the left, is there an adjustment that can be made or is it just because the cables are too long.

Most of the time I have heard of the throttle sticking when in right lock. Which side of the neck are your throttle cables on now?

If you tighten the allen bolt at the end of the grip too hard the throttle will stick. Try loosening that a couple of turns.

I probably did tighten the bolt too tight i will try to loosen it tonight to see if that does the trick.

DLR, something else to check.....2 bolts that hold the right hand housing on the bars. If pushed inward too far will cause the throtle to stick. Just back them off and slide the entire housing outward a little. You should feel a little slack in the throttle grip.

I installed 1" risers on my TBA. I didn't change the routing of my throttle cables around the frame, but I did change their position in front of the handle bars (between the triple tree and headlight). This caused chaffing on both cables, which I didn't realize until after the outer shielding was rubbed away. Basically I should have just left the cables alone after installing the 1" risers. The end result was built in cruise control that I didn't really want. I replaced both throttle cables and the clutch cable with SS Braided cables from SEL-Motion Motorsports. All 3 new cables are very nice and are probably 1 to 1.5 inches longer than the stock cables.
