Hi Ed
finially got to take the girl out on the weekend first decent ride since i got the shocks
went for a ride around the block:started at Wacol out to Fernvale just north of their turn right up thru splityard creek-north brook on to somerset dam from their to Kilcoy out to Caboolture then scoot down the highway back to Wacol total distance just over 300k's different terrain from high way to tight twisty mountainish to quiet country roads with long sweeping corners....where does this lead all but Ed would be asking by now
the 412's i got from you are "brillant" i didnt realize how bad the rear suspension was on the speedy mind you i weigh 9st7lb so maybe they didnt have a chance to work, after the ride no back pain first time for ages a couple of time i did push it through the corners yep!!!! the mufflers scrape, all and all a great day out and to the people who havent done this mod you dont know what your missing
ps:dont know about the extra 10 through the corners i didnt get that adventurest Thank You

Right on. You'll be pushing that extra 10mph in the corners soon enough, those shocks really build your confidence once you find you're not skittering through the turns like before.

Ya know it's funny about rear suspension to me. I am used to the last 20 years give or take on a hard tail with a long springer front end and I used to fly through corners. I am used to the back end hopping in turns,I don't think different shock on the back of my bike would make any difference in how fast I corner. I could see it making a difference to guys who aren't used to that feel though. Ya wanna ride a screwy feeling rear suspension try a sprung hub some time!

I am definitely a twin shock rider and have no interest in riding hardtails. Even so, the hardtail is (IMO) the prettiest looking frame and makes for the nicest looking ride, leading the eye like a skillful artist along the lines of the machine. Very nice, but I'm a wuss and like my comfort; I want to enjoy my riding.
