I removed all that stuff last weekend, and plugged off all those vacuum nipples. But with sooo much cr*p to remove, I wonder if I did it right.

Has anyone here done this operation?

I did the emmission removal also. Only thing you need to make sure of is the carb vent tube, it runs between the carbs & it needs to be open to fresh air.If it is plugged up the carbs will flood. If it is the bike will only run in wide open throttle, it will not idle. Run a 5/16th hose
from the carb vent tube down along side of the gas tank vent hose. Having it vent underneath the frame.

After removal of said emmissions baggage you may want to readjust your air fuel mixture & resinc the carbs.

smokenstogie,

Thanks for the heads up. I was a bit unsure about that. Anyway, I routed a 5/16" tube as you suggested. I'll re-synch the carbs this coming weekend.

Thanks,
