Brake light is now stuck permantly on so has anybody else had this problem before I start taking things apart

I haven't got time to take it to dealer so clues as to where microswitch is for foot brake and if there is a relay in there would be very helpful

Cheers

Kev

Have you disconnected the switch in the right grip? I believe the rear brake switch is a hydraulic type. Unfortunately I'm at work and my shop manual is at home.

Many years ago my rear brake switch stuck 'on.' It was one of the few things I had replaced under warranty. Since I mostly use my front brake I just pulled the plug on the rear brake switch (under the battery area) until I could make it to the dealer.

Isolated it to the rear brakes switch will sort it out as soon as i can get to the dealers.

While I was ferreting around I found two other connecters tucked infront of the battery any idea what they are for?

Cheers

One's for the auxiliary power socket. Never did manage to work out what the other's for.

If one is a good size plug with maybe 8 or more wires and has a blanking plug with a jumper or two, it's for the alarm.
