Looking at light bars. Been through many historical threads. I like both the Triumph OEM and the Rivco and both are around the same price after shopping around. I like the Rivco bar because of the indicator mounting, although I've seen some mounted to the OEM bar as well.

The question comes down to the lights... One of the posts advised the quality of the Rivco lights were not that great.

Asking for comments on the quality and/or brightness of the OEM and Rivco lights that come with the respective light bars.

well the OEM's are made for the bike by Triumph. The shape is like a mini version of the headlight bucket, So the lines go well with the rest of the bike. and EVERTHING FITS.
No need to "Tweek" anything. As for the lighting itself I liked it. But never had anything to compare them too. I believe Fast Eddy also gave the OEMS a good revue.

My only gripe is the big ugly togle switch on the clutch side bucket.

I agree with the toggle and the OEM lights do really light up the road well. Only complaint I have is one of the brackets on the bottom of one of the lights (the ones the mounting bolts go through but are part of the light)has a little chrome starting to peel.

I have the rivco, but i like the shape of the Triumph lights better.I did not get the Triumph bar because it stuck out too far on both sides.

I put Wendys blinkers between the driving lights and head light to fill the space.

made brackets. just a flat plate cut from stainless to follow the curve of the light bar with a hole in 1 end for the light stud to go through and hold it on and a 2nd hole to mount the blinker. Then polished.

I've seen your post other times in the forum but the penny just dropped as to how you attached the indicators. Sometimes its really hard to tell from the pics. I don't want to flog a dead horse as I know you posted this before but once more for us lazy ones. Which brand indicators and headlight hoods/rings did you use??

Thanks again.

visors/hoods are cheap ones from Ebay and the indicators are also cheap from Ebay or available at many old school type motorcycle shops. They are the bullet lights that were popular in the 60s and 70s. They normally cost about $8 US.

For you Triumph light bar owners....
Do you get any bounce on the light bar? I did the JCW bar and it bounces a enough to irritate me. I also noticed its starting to tweak the bracket a bit.

No bounce on the one we have. and here are some of the lights. They are available other places too not sure about where you would get them in Australia though. bullet from J&P

There are winged style, no wings, red, amber , blue lenses etc..
Blue lens with wings on ebay

I did the same bar and haven't noticed any bounce yet but I'd like 2" more room so I'll be trolling the accessory racks looking for a possible cross-match from Drag Specialties, etc.

Solid is right. My OEM light bar acted like a crash bar when I dumped a while back. Probly saved me a alot of damage to the bars cluthclever housing and and gas tank.
Could be because the lights are spaced pretty far apart.

The bar itself was bent and the leftside Light smashed, Managed to straighten the bar. And new light is on order.

Here is a fairly straight forward alternative using the Triumph lightbar and Kuryakyn Large Silver Bullets - There is just enough room on each end of the lightbar to drill a hole and mount the Silver Bullets. The holes are just inside the spotlight mounting location.....

Also look for stainless, The chrome ones can rust much easier and there is little or no price difference on Ebay.

Thanks to all for the info. To the guys that use the Bullet Indicators. I love the look but looks aren't everything... Well they are, BUT what about safety. It would appear that the side view when using these light is very restrictve. Just a thought.
