I have one for Winter riding. It's a great jacket.

Got mine out last night for an evening's chilly ride. They are, in a word, heavy. I bet mine weighs 6 or 8 pounds with the liner in.

One thing to look for is a vent zipper on the back. I have a "First Gear" textile jacket and I love it. However, it has no rear vent zipper. Why is this important? Because the air needs to flow through the jacket. Otherwise 2 things happen. First, the jacket will tend to blowup like a ballon on the highway. No place for air to escape. Second, the airflow is critical for cooling. I use my textile jacket all summer and my leather jacket in the spring and fall.

I have one. great jacket, lots of vents, way to many pockets and very comfortable. Mine does have the rear vents as well.

Thanks. For the ones that have them.....Is the jacket wearable in somewhat warmer weather with the liner removed and the vents unzipped?

Yeah, but - the vents don't really do much to cool the wearer

I disagree to a certain extent. The vents will allow air to flow thru and cool you off while moving but if its to warm out,no.
