Hello all, is there any forward controls out there for our bikes? I was thinking of changing them but havent seen any on the web. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Jack

They do come with forward controls. Perhaps Jack is really tall and wants to push them farther forward. Other than Boogieman's highway pegs, I think you're rolling your own brackets to move the actual controls farther forward.

The bikes are in fact designed with forward controls. Are you asking about highway pegs?

Hello all and thanks for the replies. Yes i know that they have forward controls. brokenfixed is correct in saying that i am looking for something different and further out. My legs are long and another1 1/2-2 inches would be great. I would also like to get something that is different than everyone elses. In the photo area, i noticed an America with different forward controls than what comes with it and that is what im looking for.
Thanks
Jack

I have a set of forward controls that came off a HD Softtail. You can make anything fit if you want......Angelis

I'm in the process of doing this right now, hopefully by the end of the week it'll all be back together, with the stock pegs mounted in front of the pipes...

At 6'2" I feel cramped up and would like to stretch out a bit...

I'm taking pics as I go and will post at completion...

Mike

I am trying to do the same thing - I have had a foot control bar turned round and widened ( thanks to Grzegorz and some fine Polish engineers!) .

Was going to move the rear brake pump forward and get a new hard line made up,but after doing a mock up, not keen on the way it looks!

Plan B is to keep the pump where it is and make a bracket from where the foot control bar fixes. Just got to figure out a way of connecting the brake lever to the pump! How are you planning to connect the rear brake?

Am looking forward to the pics, would appreciate any ideas that you have.

Cheers

Shaun

The rear brake on a Dyna is mounted in the back. I has a bar attached to the brake petal and a clevis on the brake pump....may be you could make something like that....just a suggestion

This is what I did, cost me a box of beer to my engineer mate, $30 for stainless tube and welding and $1.50 for a 1 1/4" frostplug.... sure sounds better with the exhaust crossover pipe blocked, not louder just more distinct and punchy...

Got the center section cut out and steel pipe welded in but made it 20mm wider to give clearance for the gear change rod...

Tied it in place with cable ties and rope and a block of 4x2 so I could cut out some cardboard brackets in the right shape...

Gear change rod extended...

All painted up and ready to mount...

Mounted and finished...

And lastly but most importantly my new riding position...

Went on a 280Km ride yesterday and I'm lovin it, just feel so much more comfortable...
After thinking about this for a couple of years I'm so glad I've finally got it done, start to finish took 4 days...
Used the same brake line, just bent it to fit, not that flash lookin but will do for the moment...

Really nice job Mike, Really nice.

Love the look and I bet they feel great to ride with. I'm jealous

Nah, I'm currently riding with speedmaster bars and deuce risers but one of our good members sold me a pr of America bars which feel brilliant too. One day when I get a chance I'll also sort out the wiring and cable so that look nice and neat like you have yours. Great job and thanks for sharing with the photo
