People have been asking me all kinds of questions about the battery relocation...i figured i'd make a diagram really quick of what the bracket/tray assembly looks like if you were standing at the rear of the bike to the left.. heres a picture of the relocation kit that streetboogie sells for $75...keep in mind you have to mail him your stock battery tray...and he mounts everything so that the wires hang down below the seat, which means that you'll have to make side panels...but this picture gives you a good idea on how the brackets that you bolt onto the existing battery tray, mount to the rear fender bolts I'll be disassembling mine in the future to paint all the brackets and clean all the edges i cut...Ill take some pictures of various details and update this thread... At first i wanted to see if it'd work, so i didnt paint anything, i just put it together. Its been on there sitting strong for about 800miles so far 400 of them were in one day with Ian, and its held up pretty well.

Nice drawing.
I'd like to see a picture from the side where the battery used to live.

yes ive been looking at spots to mount it under the bike...Ill need to get a new drycell battery to do it, cause it needs to sit sideways, and i need to lengthen the battery cables obviously. I dont know about ducttape though..ahha, but its a bit of a project

If Red were here it would go somthin' like this. "To make your own dry cell battery first you have to duct tape a drill bit to the hub of your van 'cause last time you used the drill you cussed and tossed the chuck key into the lake. Then get the van up on a jack and put it in gear. Then hold the battery up to the drill bit and drain the stuff out of it. Now you have a dry cell battery. Next thing you need is 12 rolls of duct tape. Get a few winds around the frame and lay the battery on top of it and keep wrapping it. Once you get 10 rolls on it then grab a knife and try to find the terminals that you forgot to connect to before you taped the battery under the frame..." HA HA

Heres the smaller batteries that you can position in anyway. Though I dont think this one is that small at all if you read the dimensions...it seems like its a normal battery size. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Small-Cus...20146QQtcZphotoAnd heres another one they call "small" which is actually a bit longer, but only 3" wide. But doesnt look like the one in the picture http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Spyke-Bat...024407146QQrdZ1Still thats alot of money..Ive read that the smaller dimension ones are for buells, so i was thinking of going to napa and finding a stock buell battery cheaper to check the size...but they probably wont be a dry cell that you can mount sideways...thats what you really need.

Oooooh, lookee what else Bitter End sells... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...s_promot_widget (Of course, $3500 for a frame, front-end and wheels seems a bit steep.)

The frame is cool but what made it dumb is that curved downtube and the way he mounted that tank...the seat sits a tad bit low too.

That ad says made to order. I bet you could get a straight down tube and iy also looks like there are lugs for a hinged seat on springs so the seating doesn't seem too low to me. But then again no such thing as too low on a hardtail chopper to me. This makes like 3 or 4 guys I see making hardtails for the new twin. Powder coat and engine mounts are extra it says too so depending how much extra seems a bit steep of a price to me when I could go buy a basic black T-100 for slightly more.

Yeah I'd like to see another bike made with that frame setup a bit different, so i can get another shot at seeing that frame involved with a decent setup instead of that first one.
