Can I relocate the solenoid to the tank tunnel?

Is it alright to locate the solenoid under the tank on thebackbone of the bike? right where the tunnel would be or is it too hot? could i do damage to the solenoid?

Not sure why you would want to do that but I think it would probably be OK as long as there is room.

I believe a better place would be up against the rear fender but it sounds to me like you are trying to clear out that area where it is currently located?

It would work up there but I don't know if you'd have the room. Stick your hands up there and you will see what I mean...

yeah hes relocating the battery like mine...i was wondering about the slack that he has in each line going to the solenoid...it might need to be lengthened

How about putting it down under the swing arm by the regulator? It's kind of hidden and out of the way.Have to make new cables.

Biggest problem would be if the tank moved and pressed against the positive terminal of the solenoid... eg: if the bike was dropped. Worst case scenario goes something like:

*drop* "bugger" *leak* *spark* *BOOM!*
