Actually that looks pretty good, they would work good with the conversion kit from Signal Dynamics. Where did you get them?

still don't like the big goofy indiwinkers but that is a vast improvement. Did you find any red ones? This should probably be in the vault in the parts cross reference.

Most excellent Steve. I see Shaun is asking for the specifics. +1 Just don't phrase your answer in terms of the Iberian peninsula only...

I know he was looking for clear but in another thread someone was looking for red to fit the back indiwinkers and I was asking if he had seen any. If he found clear I am sure he saw other stuff in the quest.

After doing quite a bit of searching, this is as close as i could find. These are for Japanese bikes. Some look close to what might fit our bikes but who knows? Hope we can get the scoop on where to find them. Inquiring minds want to know! http://www.allpromotorsports.com/eshoppr...CLEAR_TURN_.htm

Thanks for the comments guys....appreciated !! I found a fella on good old Ebay...specialises in bits for old British classic cars and bikes....and he had a set of clear lense's with amber bulbs up for a Buy It Now of £15'ish. Asked him to measure up and email me the dimensions and the only measurement that was a bit out was the fixing screw centres. Took a chance and ordered them... had to drill out the fixing holes in the lense by 1.5mm, but there is plenty of 'meat' to allow for this. Bought 4 of the 'chrome type' indicator bulbs from the local auto shop and the job's a good 'un !!! Contact details for the supplier are... lotsofclassicbits..that's his ebay shop. I mailed him after I'd done the conversion to ask if he had any more in stock with a view to letting the forum know about him. He said he can get as many as is needed...just tell him Steve sent ya !!! Link here...if it works !!!http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Clear-Lens-Indicator-set-AJS-Triumph-BSA-Norton_W0QQitemZ190147878528QQihZ009QQcategoryZ25628QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

With all man's technological advances , why , praytell , are there no RED LENSES for Triumphs ? AAAARRRRRGGGHHHH x 6 . Everyone can spot me 'cause I'm tha only one with YELLOW rear lights . All it would take is to shoot RED resin into the injection mold , heck , I'd buy it for 'em . I changed out wifey's Sportster lenses to RED , right off the shelf . The quest continues .

Just trying to get some feedback here, Mike.....did you find them easy to fit ?? I was a bit concerned after I posted the info that having to drill the mounting holes out may have put folks off of having a go at it.

Just trying to get some feedback here,
Steve
I did mine a few weeks ago - I took it easy doing them. Slowly drilled out the holes a drill size at a time until the spacings were wide enough (ruined 2 of the fixing screws testing the width). For some reason, I found the rear ones were easier to sort than the front, but got there in the end.
I tried the orange bulbs that came with the lenses, but they kind of defeated the object! So I got some of the "chromed amber" - (don't know if it was cos I got crap ones off of ebay,) but they do not put out enough light, especially during daylight (this was confirmed by Grzegorz).
I have now got some amber LED's that I am going to try tomorrow (thanks for the advice Sandmann) and presume that I will need to replace the flasher as well.
All in all, definitely worth the trouble if you plan to keep the OEM size indicators.
Thanks again for finding them
Shaun

Glad it went well for you Shaun. I junked the orange bulbs and fitted the chromed ones but paid a bit extra for them from a 'boy racer' store (sent my lad in to get them for me) !! I think they're 21 watter's....and mine seem quite bright. Let me know how the LED conversion goes.

There is a spray paint you can get to turn your amber lenses into red. Been there, done that... Try an auto styling store.

Had to drill the holes outward a bit, and the lenses could fit in the assemblies a little better but are OK. painted some bulbs red but seem pink so applied some red reflective tape to the white plastic that the bulbs are surrounded by. Looks redder now. The fronts the same so I used amber reflective tape and it is an improvement too. The only other thing I could do is use the 5 watt luxeon amber or red LED but I am not spending $30 a bulb. So if this don't work out I will put the amber fronts back on, sell the 2 clears and paint the rear clear ones red inside.

Send me a PM if you are interested...

Just fitted the clear lenses, I used a round needle file to oval the screw holes outwards about 2mm each side and they fitted fine. Not completley happy with the orange lamps but they are in for now. whats the score with the LED replacement lamps? anybody got a supplier in UK and I guess also an electronic flasher unit. First price I got for the mirrored orange lamps was £20 + VAT for two, seems a bit expensive .

Stephen I've got some mirrored orange bulbs and also some LEDs that I didn't think were bright enough! Will take them to Dent if you want - If you like them, you can have them, buy me a pint in exchange! Re the flasher unit, I got one from here works well enough but you need to take the bulb out of the idiot lights or they all flash together. Shaun

Im an idiot so I the idiot indicator lamp working could probably be sorted with a diode or two, but like you say if they are not bright enough i will leave the LEDs
Interested in the mirrored orange bulbs as long as its not a pint of whiskey bring em along.
