I am experiencing misfiring at cruising speeds 1/4 to 1/2 throttle and bad after full throttle acel bursts . Tonight I noticed that tilting the bike to the left would bring on the condition while tilting it to the right would cure it imediately.

I have checked the tank have taken the inline fuel filter out removed the tip over vent valve. Everything tells it is starving for fuel but it runs fine under WOT

I have noticed that I seem to have a lot of wear on the carb slides for a bike with only about 6000 km on it.

I have freak kit with 150/45 AI removed

Any suggestions ? Ideas ? Voodoo Cures?

I am am almost at the point of dropping it off at the dealer but I really dont want to go there?

Have you pulled the bowls and checked for dirt in the float needle? Or the little clear hose trick to check float level?

float levels are equal but could find no reference as to where it should be based on the out side of the carb. I was thinking sticky float or float needle.

take a piece of clear tubing and put it on the little nipple where gas drains out if you open the drain. Hold it up along side of the carb and open the drain. Gas should be almost even with the seam between the top of the float bowl and the carb body.

Sounds more like a possible vacume leak though.

Check the fuel flow. Leaning left = more fuel above the outlet = more fuel pressure at the outlet.

Have been down in Hood River, Oregon (Columbia Gorge) windsurfing and kite surfing for the past 10 days and have not had a chance to look into it further. Looks like it could be a few days before I can get at it have to put some pipes that just arrived on my new Solstice GXP.
