Whatever you wanna call them in your end of the world! I tried looking for the size of the thread on the front AND rear blinkers. I looked around the vault, but can't seem to find much. Does anyone have the stock thread size so that I can replace the big 'ol stocks on my 05 TBA? Much obliged...

60 views and no replies Either I asked a really good or dumb question...probably the latter. Either way I'm going to do some homemade research and I'll post the answers in the tech vault for any other loser who needs the same info as I do...more to follow.

You don't need the thread size unless you are using the stock posts. The origonal indiwinker posts just slide through and have a nut on the back side in the rear and in front the bolt just goes through the little mount plate thingy. If you still want the thread I can probably go get it from my old indiwinkers.

Thanks, Dog
I haven't had a day without rain this week and I haven't been outside long enough to take off the blinkers to see what makes 'em tick. For the fronts I was thinking of the RIVCO relocater which uses the stock thread, but instead I was going to replace them with some smaller bullets. For the rear I was going to see what I could do to get them closer to the licence plate and switch the big stocks for a smaller bullet type with as little cash as possible cuz I just blew all my dough on the RIVCO relocaters...guidance?

Here is what I did on the front Kinda dirty in the shoys but you get the idea. I have those same indiwinkers on the back in the stock location with about a 3/4" spacer under them. They just clear my plate on each side. The stainless spacers I used are available at most hardware stores. I don't have a good shot of the rears to show you.

I moved my rear blinkers in and installed "bullet" lights. All I did was remove the stockers from the licence plate mount, I cut the wiring at the bulb socket and pulled it out of the mount tube. Then I marked and cut the tube (I used a hacksaw and cleaned it up with a file). Then I got a thread tap to match the threads on the new lights and run it into the tube. Then I fished the new wires thru the tube and screwed the new lights in. Then solder the stock plug onto the new wires, re-mount to the licence plate mount and its For the fronts I made up a mount and fished the wiring when I mounted my new lightbar and windshield.

Here is what I did on Wendys. Standard Triumph light bar all I did was make small curved stainless plates that are held on by the driving light post.

Soren, It took me a couple seconds to find the blinkers...I'm thinking they are attached to the mirror stems, correct? If so, did you use a LED strip? Good Work...thanks for playing !

ALL, I have seen several bikes that have had aftermarket blinkers on the RIVCO relocator on the front, what thread is used for that application?

Yes, they are LED strips from Custom Dynamics attached to the mirror stems. I have two on each stem so they can be seen well from the front and sides.

Since everyone else isn't answering the original question, here's what I did on the front after going with smaller bars. Stock rear signals on homemade bracket.

Yes. and maybe.
This is the best pic I have and I don't know how to make it any bigger. I pretty much copied the brackets that came with the windshield but added about 1" to the length. Then I bent each end until the lights "looked" right. I've got some mods to do this winter. If I get to them soon I'll take a better pic with them off.

I found the picture that best decribes what I'm trying to do...but I don't know who's bike it is (nicky5?) . What thread signal did he use on those Rivco relocators? [image]http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=5318[/image]

I used 1/8 inch pipe thread and it matched up perfectly to the original threads when I shortened my stems on the rear lights.
