 Flamed tank and fender

I received my flamed tank Saturday and it’s beautiful. But to my amazement they included a flamed front fender.
Question
1. Is this standard or a shipping mistake
2. The fender has two holes in the top and is shorter then my stock one. What are the holes for?
I have an 03 BA

yes it is standard
And it sounds like you got a speedmaster fender the holes are for the crossover brake line

I always liked the sleeker looking fender of the Speedmaster...but it's your $$$ get what you want

How true. Actually the lack of a fender looks good. But I like the reason fenders are in place and the america fender has moe of that.
Bill,
One thing to consider is if you are thinking about getting the upgraded wheel package then you should keep the speedy fender. No? You have choices!
