Wally world has 15-50 mobil 1 on sale for 10 bucks. Thats 5 quarts for ten bucks. So those of you who use this , meself included there you go. P.S. this is not intened to start an oil debate and im not looking for opinions on whether or not to use it, or if its the Right oil. I was just letting you know it's on sale....

That is a good deal. I paid $23 for that same oil 3 months ago.

Are you sure thats the Mobile 1 4T recommended for our wet clutches? Its usually $8 a quart. Sounds like regular old motor oil to me.

No it isn't they don't carry that. It's the regular Mobil 1 with friction modifiers that I wouldn't advise but each to his or her own.

Generally speaking, any oil that has friction modifier additives in the oil is not wet clutch compatible.

Walmart in Lees Summit, MO has a small motorcycle section that has 4T, 2T, and v-twin. Seriously though, Its a whole $40 - $50 to change your oil and it will last you 6000 miles. Is that that much money to ask for an easy preventative maintenance? 6000 miles will last me at least 4 months.
You can go out and pay 100's of dollars on chrome, accessories, and good looks, but it doesn't do any good when it doesn't run and can't leave the garage.

I beg to differ, the chrome helps signal passing aircraft for help.

No its not the 4xtkyb special blend. But the 15w50 does not have friction modifers in it. It even used to carry the sj,sl approved for motorcycles designation. Read the label. And again, im not trying to get anyone to use this oil or any other oil. This was just for those that already do so. For the price put in your lawn mower or spread it on the kichten floor for fun an games with the wife. We usually use wesson oil for this purpose, but hey, the mobil is cheaper.
