I don't want to be nosy, BUT, how much did it cost to change the wheels, tires, including adding the dual front brake capability?

Looks good to me, and sounds like you got the parts at a bargain price, not much more than the price of a set of tyres. You could of course recycle your old wheels on e bay....

Hi Stephen Keeping the original wheels, just in case anything un-towards may happen. I got myself a bargain I cannot deny that. Front Forks £70.00 Wheels with tyres Disc etc £250.00 Two calipers I think they were £20.00 All in all I think they look really nice, and cuts down on the cleaning

Ray, Your garage is going to end up like mine, I have a spare wheel for my Honda 90, just in case I get a puncture somewhere. my son has the steel wheels of his car ( Alloys fitted) in there as well. Going to have to move the tumble dryer out or something so I can get in

so am I. I've been toying with the idea of a spoked front wheel for my speedy. Can you shoot me some details on your modification Gina or is it on the site somewhere?
Each to their own though so nice one birchr. As Frank Zappa said "without deviation progress is not possible"

...yes, that is a single seat...no, I will not put the other seat on...yes, I am selfish...yes, you should buy your own bike

Hi Neill
the bikes seems smoother as you go over sleeping policeman, but that might be due to the fact the wheels are a lot lighter than the spoked ones. Can't say I have had to use the brakes much as yet, as I had tied the brake lever up over night and not been out today just too busy.
Will let you know what I think

Had forgotten that term. Over here we call them speed bumps.

I contacted Ramp Cycles through their online store (yes "that" store, that had the 50% off sale earlier this year) and asked if the wheel upgrade kit, with Speedmaster wheels for the America, was going to be updated with the '07 wheels (I hate the old wheels). With the brake upgrade kit I might consider the upgrade at $13-1400. They came back with an estimate just sourcing all the parts separately and it was close to $2k. So, the hunt for a TBS wheel continues.

Hi John I think I was just very, very lucky and was sat on ebay at the right time. The wheels alone in the UK are £500.00 that is without the rotors, the upgrade kit is around the £400.00. I havent put the speedmaster master cylinder on and the brakes are fantastic and you can tell the difference it seems to pull up a lot sharper quicker. I would like the spoke wheels with two discs on, but at the end of the day these are good looking wheels and were at the right price.
