Just got my copy of HD Enthusiast got a good write up on the new Buell..
The new Helicon engine is the result of a collaboration between Buell and BRP-Rotax and is exclusive to Buell, the EFI engine produces 146 crankshaft horsepower at 9,700 rpm and 84 FT.Lbs. of torque at 7000 rpm.
It is equipped with the HVAS (Hydraulic Vaccum Assist Slipper-Action) clutch, its supposed to provide a slipper clutch affect. The 1125R is designed to own the corners with an athletic riding postion and foot pegs located to offer 50 degrees of lean angle and is equipped with an onboard diagnostic information system (ODIS)..
looks like Buell is taking a step up,kinda an interesting article thought Id pass the info along....

Nice bike. I will be riding one as soon as possible. Love riding Buells and have seriously considered one. Though no more sport ergos for me I hope they put that motor in a standard.

Getting rid of that Harley engine has got to be a step in the right direction. I recently rode a firebolt and if ever there was a bike with an engine that didn`t suit that was it!

I like the "harley looking" motor in the buells. Primitive design aside, tons and tons of torque, good throttle control and most important... great real world power. Plus the bikes are just a load of fun to me.

Love my 2000 Buell Cyclone...0 to 80 tons of fun after that maybe not so much...give me a GSXR in that case. There is just something about chrome push rod covers mixed with billet and carbon fiber.

The fact is that when you start it at the gas station people just don't know what to make of it. I'm sure they think that it was a crotch rocket not a Sportster...

wow, 150 hp under 10,000 rpms! Sounds like one bad mother!

Those radiator scoops are hideous though.

The "Quite Zone" sounds like a good place to read a book while riding. My M2 has a very load zone all the time.

I will have to see what it looks like in person, but right now the whole thing looks hideous.

Each to their own i guess.

Quite like it, and I believe its got a similar engine to the Aprilia V range, also developed by Rotax.

But I would have to wait for a more upright riding position like the Buell CityX.
