Anyone had a problem with the needle bearings that the clutch release shaft rotates in? The problem I had was the release lever was wobbling aroung when the clutch was pulled. Anyway I removed the engine/clutch cover (after draining the oil) and found the top needle bearing had slid
down the shaft! When I pushed it back into place there was no more wobble at the lever. Just wondering do I need to get a new bearing and or shaft? as it will probably fall down again. Anyone had any experience here? Bike is an 04 BA with approx 7K miles

Not familiar with how the bearing is retained. Looking at Bike Bandits website http://houseofmotorcycles.bikebandit.com/parts/Triumph/AMERICA/All/2290976 it appears that it is only a friction fit. Suggest the bearing be installed with a mild loctite if there are no apparent circlips to hold in place. Usually a needle bearing has an interference fit to its bore. Relys on friction to hold in place. I don't think the outside race to the bearing would have worn out. The bore was probably drilled slightly oversize when made. Try a Loctite that is used for "retaining" such as 609.
