Hey team.

Just wondering what the big rubber pad under the aluminium shield does? I swapped cases and decided I needed to remove the alum. plate to see what it does, found a BIG chunk of rubber...
I am guessing it is a vibration damper or similar ??

Regards........Binnsy

Would that be the "noise abatement" rubber on the engine sprocket?

See the alloy plate smack in the centre of the photo? The rubber pad lives under there....
