I picked up one of the Craftsman MC jacks today.
I notice that the platform does not sit quite level. The bike leans away from the jack just a bit. Not a lot but it is noticeable. I checked it with a level and sure enough, the platform tilts away from the handle-side of the jack just a bit.
Do ya'll's do that, or is mine special?

Got one too. Mine isn't dead on level either but I did not think much of it since my garage floor is not level either. Still dose the job though.

I don't think mine does that. Do you have the steel jack or aluminum?

Painfully ironic that it is endowed with the time - honored name Craftsman , yet it is made in China , bereft of what I consider to be enduring quality metallurgy or craftmanship . Yes , it is probably crooked , mine is straight , for now .

Mine leans a hair too, but have no issues getting the bike up in the air. I probably should, but never do strap it down while on the lift and had no problems.
Best looking black girl around!

I've never noticed if mine leans or not, but one thing I don't like is the cradle doesn't go down all the way. It's a pain to get it under the bike. I have to upright the bike then either get someone to slide underneath or try and do it myself by sliding uder with my foot.

mine seems to be level but takes awhile to come down. As stated were all "Special" in some way!

Have only used mine twice: to clean and oil the chain and to clean the wheels and am very happy with it. Of course, nothing in my house is level so... SteveB

Mine is level, but unless I use the locking bar it will slowly lower to the ground. I can actually see it moving and it is a pain in the butt when trying to line up the rear wheel to replace the axle.

Mine has no leaks, does hydraulic fluid wear out?

in compliance with the current Jack confessional thread, my jack leaks a bit and I've had to replace the hydraulic fluid once so far.

You'll find a rubber stopper on the side of the bottle; turn the bottle upside down, pop out the plug and fill to the opening. Return to level and give 10 or so pumps to purge the air, put the plug back in. Maintenance accomplished.

Lets not get crazy...
FWIW, my jack is level but it just barely fits under the frame. I still just my home-made 2"x6" jack for most jobs other than tear downs when stuff comes off and it's strapped down anyway.

Not the re-ocurring oil thread again . I thought it was in remission . What is the best oil for my saddlebags ? What viscosity ?
