Ok guys & gals,

I can’t fight off the withdrawals anymore. The cheese steak gods are calling and we have to answer the call. That’s right, I’m talking a Philly “Cheese Steak & Beer Run”. Last year we squeezed in several “Run’s”, but this will be the first for 2007. If you are interested in a good ride with great food and drink, we will be meeting up at Clinton Cycles, this Sunday, (8/19) at 9:00 AM. We will be rolling out at 9:30 sharp. Hope to see you there……

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm cheese steaks.......

Gene

I thought that would follow the crab run closely.

While we were at the table stuffing our faces with crabs, we got to talking about a philly run. Hopefully we will see you at this one….

Also for the riders who are up north, east or west, if you can’t meet up with us at Clinton Cycles for the ride, you are welcome to hook up with us at the Liberty and hang out with us for the food and drink. We are headed to Liberty Steaks & Hoagies, 1737 MacDade Blvd., Woodlyn, PA 19094 for those who are interested….

Gene, I don't know about a Philly run (other side of the world for me). Next time yall do a VA run let me know... I'll be there.

Don,

In another couple of months the leaves should start changing and the group will be headed out your way for some rides on Skyline Drive. From Warrenton, you’re not too far from Clinton. You should try to join us. Nice ride out across the bay bridge and up 301 into Delaware and Pennsylvania.

I'll think about it. Riding without Will is really bumming me out. You know his Mom (the wife) made him sell his bike after loosing his cousin this past December. At least at this point she isn't blowing a gasket if he or I mention another bike. Do you know if Chris ever gets any good used sport bikes in on trade? I'm think maybe a 2-4 year old Yamaha R6. Would be a nice 18th B'Day present if I could swing a good deal. Plus, I get my riding buddy back!

Hey I understand. I think you are referring to Kasey (general sales manager) at Clinton Cycle. After reading your post I gave him a call. He said he gets the R6’s in all the time. He said to give him a call at Clinton (301-449-5900) and he will take good care of you if you decide to buy. Just remind him you and your son were the ones we hooked up with in Warrenton on our way out to Skyline Drive.

Dadgummit, yes I meant Kasey. I'll give him a call. Thank you Gene!

I'm gonna miss another one! You'll only be a few miles from me and I never really need much of an excuse to go to Liberty for a steak - KILLER!!! I will be on the beach in Avalon, NJ. I will have to have a cheesesteak in your honor while I am there.

For those of you who are going, the Liberty does not take credit cards, so make sure you bring cash……

Man, I'm jealous.

I'm a cheesesteak junkie trapped in exile in Idaho. I lived in Princeton for a while and developed a habit which I can rarely satisfy with the pale excuses for cheesesteaks you get west of the Mississippi.

I guess it's only about a four day ride for me...

Each way...

Looks like the cheese steak god’s are smiling on us. I just saw the weather report for tomorrow. They are calling for party cloudy and a high around 80, which means a great riding day. Please remember to fill up your tanks before you get to Clinton and also to bring cash since the Liberty does not take credit cards. If time permit’s, we will even swing by the Union on the way back. I’ll see you in the AM……..

****************UPDATE******************
I hate to say this but today’s ride will be postponed until next Sunday 8/26. Looks like the weatherman couldn’t make up his mind and is now calling for rain most of the day. The ****** is the rain has started already. Anyway, hopefully those who could not make it today can ride with us next Sunday…..

Doesn’t look like the weather is going to cooperate this Sunday either. I think I’ll just keep watching the weather and as we come up on a weekend that will have a good weather Sunday, I’ll put up a post…….

Please do. I'd be interested in a good cheese steak with a little riding thrown in!
