I know I post all kinds of silly teasing man/woman stuff here in the Lounge.....and I really hope you guys know that I'm teasing, and see that I'm also poking fun at my own gender.....I am as baffled by the post-feminist world as the rest, the posts are a reflection of that silliness, and truly, I love, respect, appreciate and admire good men. (Especially men who ride bikes.) I'm one of the women who publicly roots for you guys in the Battle of the Sexes. So, today, Man of the Day Award goes to ArsnlTim, who popped on my new windshield for me today (Triumph Summer Screen)....I had tried to do it myself last night but didn't have the strength to loosen up the bolts on the underside of the triple tree, and wisely knew I had no business trying to increase my leverage using a hammer to break the initial hold. Also, I'm thinking that by touching my bike, Tim may have transfered some of his Speedie's supernatural zoominess to mine! Thanks Tim!

watch them North Londeners....they can crawl under a rattlesnakes belly in a top hat and not get their shirts dirty !!! ...Seriously tho' after losing my wife I realised what she did looking after the home, finances, shopping etc etc etc. I'm struggling to cope with it all and I'm retired, but she took it in her stride AND had a full time job as an accountant ! There ain't no shame in outsourcing ! Respect to the man in red....
If you do it today you MIGHT regret it. If you CAN'T do it tomorrow you WILL regret it.

Awwww, Thanks Paula It just makes me happy being able to help a beautiful woman. It makes me even happier to help a beautiful woman by working on her bike It makes me even happier when I can help a beautiful woman by working on her bike and make it look like I know what I'm doing

I was wildly impressed when you showed me that my ratchet driver can do that cool bendy business to get into tight spots.
Hey, I think I discovered the source of that clattery noise that we thought was coming from the lower windshield mount hitting the forks....I was riding as a passenger today and was hearing the same clattery noise....Hmmmmmmm....LOL, a snap on my helmet visor wasn't secured. I laughed at myself all day.

Didn't we discuss the tool thingy with you at NH rally when you pulled out your never before used ratchet set. Your supposed to stand there smile sweetly and say to the the guy you got to help you " Oh is that what thats for". Now we are going to need a good 50 to 100 mile ride to be sure it works properly. Next Sunday to the BIA meet in Ct. ought to do it.
My mind and body are still out of tune
I hope they run into each other real soon "

Yeah- a sweet smile and green eyes, I carry my REAL tools with me at all times.
I can't wait till Sunday!!
Tim didn't mention, but he demo-ed a Rocket III at Armand's. He looked high after the ride.

Love the way it looks or hate it, the Rocket III is a sweet machine. It flicks through corners with great ease and I rolled 1/4 throttle and it was pulling me back, I can't imagine that thing with a turbo like that guy in NH

JEZZZZ PAULA,
I don't even get honorable mention, must be chopped liver, rememeber I pushed your bike up that big hill that is Rob's driveway into the garage so it would not get wet.
And was it not me who use that shiny new tool kit of yours for the first time. ****** I had to take the protective tape off the thing.

John- Please forgive me! I was busy admiring your biceps flexing as you tore through the protective wrapping of my shiny new toolikit....(I seem to be missing a 3/8 adaptor by the way, but I won't dwell.)....And I so dearly appreciate the manly brute strength you used to move My Pretty Bonnie out of hail's way!
Also, if I remember correctly, Rob and Larkfarms assisted in the sheltering and protection of MPB. As they shifted bikes around, their demonstration of testosterone and superior brains had me close to a swoon.
Oh, and Rob so generously gave me a right side mirror to replace my scratched one after my little "ooopsie" in Groton. And Tim gets another MOTD Award for picking my bike up after that little incident.
And Lee so chivalrously covered my back on both Friday and Saturday's rides....
Oh, and Matt is guarding an 8-Ball choke knob for me until the NorEast Rally. I hope he's getting some sleep what with having to watch out for all those choke knob theives.
And lest I forget, my appreciation and admiration to Tim, Brian, and Mark for providing my escort to and from NH, keeping me safe from riff-raff!
