After a couple of weeks of my A/C not cooling as well as it used to, I knew I needed a professional. Knowing my buddy newt (Myke, who lives about 120 miles/2+ hours away) was an A/C expert, I figured I'd talk to him about finding someone reliable over here. Here's kinda how that went:

me: Do you know anyone over here that does A/C?
newt: I'll be over Saturday with my tools
OMG....WTF!

newt arrived with Sue (Janet was happy about that ). Jawed a bit and 'we' went to work. In my own defense, I was the best apprentice and the pic below PROVES it (check out the shady area on newt!)




Needless to say, my A/C works perfectly now.

A kneeling man sucking bugs out of the verdant St . Augustine grass with a shop vac , an Earl holding the Inverted Dish of the Black Maltic Cross of Vorlon . Spouses chatting . Life is good .

My first thought upon seeing that picture was, "Aw, look at the happy couple..."

Hopefully you also served him some fine homebrew to quench his thirst from the travel and work.

That's what i call 'a friend'....plain & simple.

105 degrees here in the ATL, registers blowing 82 degrees, temp at evaporator in garage is 52 degrees...stumped..looks like I'll be offering myself to the A/C gods as a sacrifice...probably 4-$500 this time of year...IF I can get them to come out...

Having met Newt in Da.., Do..., Georgia that doesn't surprise me. Cool, I mean cool

See if Newt will make a service call to Rob in NH. His AC was making a lot of noise.

the problem with that was... i couldnt fit all my tools on the bike and i had to drive the cage over !@%$#$%^&^%%$ and this is the time of yr it rains everyday but on that one day the forcast was for no rain !@#$%$%^&^%$# hahahahahahaha believe it or not Phil makes a good umbrella boy, not as pretty as the track girls (matter of fact, not very pretty at all hahahahaha) (and i will hear nothing about that from you...yota hahahahaha) but a very good umbrella boy non the less hahahahahahaha WE enjoyed the day Phil (well thats what Mrs. Newt told me to say)hahahaha , course i really was due for a day to do nothing, but no, no thats ok, hahahahahahaha glad to hear all is well, glad i could help, and thanks for that wonderfull meal.

Sorry Phil, but you're gonna have to do MUCH better than THAT if you ever hope to get the part of Ling-Ling in your local community theatre production of "The Mikado", Dude!!!
