I happened by Ma's Cycle last year. I believe the highway bars they developed for ba/sm are no longer being offered. At the time I thought Bob (Ma) was considering another style?? Unless someone here is considering parting with their's, I think that's where we are..........I sent mine off to another member jh

Any chance of welding them up?? I would try that if you cant get new ones? If they aren't chrome it would be easy but if they are then you might need to paint them after welding? just my $0.02

How many people out there have them? I am not sure if I like the look. I can see the point of having them though.

The ones from Bella Corse (and I believe that same ones that Brent sells) will not save your bike. I had a set and sold them after a week. The top mounting is the bolt that goes through the horn and it's bracket.
These bars are just for show.
Now they can be strengthened with a little work and Jeff (loco) did a very goos job of it. I don't know if he has any pictures in his gallery but if you contact him I'm sure he will be happy to help out.

Seems to me like these big bars could bend the frame if the bike went down. Especially considering how/where they attach to the frame. No?

No, I do not think so. the frame is a much stronger tubing than the crash bars. most crash bars will bend and break long before damaging the frame.
