I was doing some routine maintance and when I check my battery I found that the bolts were on the loose side. I didn't have any starting issues but found that they were not tight. It got me to thinking has anyone put blue loctite on these bolts to help keep them tighter?

Done in moderation , I don't see where that would hurt . Locktite has a coating / polymer effect which may act as an electrical insulator , so don't go slathering it all over the connections . I like the nylon lock inserts better . Use dielectric grease also . Grease and Loktite - arch rivals . Use discretion .

Thanks I knew there was a reason for not using loctite but wasn't sure why. I like the idea about using they nylon lock nuts.
