I just wanted to stop by and say hello. I bought a Mulberry Red 2005 America….I’ve heard red is the fastest color. I’ve let her sit in the shed this week until I complete my MSF course. When I get squared away I’m going to take her out for a spin.

Welcome Angie and I am sure you will learn more than you ever thought about our bikes. Oh yeah Soren is right the black ones are the fastest.

Yes...welcome! The red ones (regardless of shade of red) are fast and very nice but the black ones are truly the faster ones. This has been proven by the US and every other nation. Every high speed vehicle made is black...ie...stealth bomber, U2 spyplane, etc... Red on the other hand is reserved for emotions such as love and rage or emergency vehicles such as fire trucks. All nice but to get the job done it needs to be black. Sorry!
whew...that was hard work to get that much bull sh!^ out in one sitting! Enjoy the new ride!

Welcome Bill....and you are spot on in your speed assesment...don't let these "colorless" black rides convince you of anything else...I've got about a dozen dyno sheets from the NH rally that back up the "Red are fastest" claims....well except for Tims but he cheated, he uses Susuki oil...

Welcome Aggie, anyone with an aggie screen name is a step ahead of the rest of this ba.com riffraff in my book .
Watch the cross traffic, lost mufflers laying on the tarmac, angry~vengefull squirrels, unsecured mattresses on top of el caminos, 18 wheeler retreads, generic motor oil, broken chain guards........blah, blah.
Ride Safe, get used to the grin .
Glad that Rob finally cleared up the ongoing "color wars" with coldhardfacts. Us red ones will patiently wait up ahead, whilst you argue amongst yourselves.

Hmmm, the B2 isn't really that fast, nor is the U2. Stealth and speed are not one and the same. Ever hear of the Blue Flame and Bonneville Salt Flats? You'll note the colors, Blue, Silver, and White...

No but the SR-71 which holds every speed record there is, is definatly BLACK!!! Which proves, without a doubt, that the black ones are far and away the fastest ones!!!!

Good advice I can tell you from experience those truck tires comming apart hurt! I have always told people and and anyone I taught to ride to ride on the far side of the lane away from an large truck. You never know if there might be a loose chain or strap on it.

Welcome...nice folks here and good info. It really doesn't matter which color is the fastest, because the black ones have that certain look about them...you know cool is not quite the word but that certain something that says this IS the right color. If you are old enough you will remember that Johnny rode a black one.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I finished my MSF class today, and got my license and insurance. I might try to take her out tonight for a spin. At peace is right I did graduate from Texas A&M. Although the M stands for Mechanical not mining. I guess that’s another reason why I think Mulberry is the fastest color…it sure does look a lot like maroon.
