I just want to put a shout out to folks interested in real old-school-quality leather saddlebags.

Check out www.foxcreekleather.com. I just received my "large straight" bags and they fit my '03 SM beautifully (I'll get pix posted asap).

The leather is heavy and durable, and if they hold up as well as my Fox Creek leather jacket I expect to be passing them along to my children. No joke.

I purchased a buffalo nickel leather vest from Fox Creek Leather last April. They are some good folks located in Independence VA. One thing to note about Fox Creek Leather is when you buy from them you will be buying american products from an American Vet.

I'll tell ya, I've taken two getoffs in my F.C. Jacket -- one of 'em pretty substantial (60mph lowside) and the jacket is only a little scuffed up... for me, everything that was inside the jacket was 100% ok (knees and ankles got banged up, but i'm still walking so wasn't too bad).

They're the best ****** leather company I've seen. It's a complete bonus that not only are they all American, but they're here in my home state (VA)! Woo hoo!

Seriously, folks -- if you're in the market for new leathers, check 'em out. Their products are worth twice what you'll pay for 'em, their service is fast and efficient, and they're really nice people

Purty one too. I'd like to see the "large straight" bags that Jägermeister 'Oh my god' (Jaeger) has, because I am thinking about replacing the Saddleman bags due to me having to fashion an 18"x24" $13.29 sheet of Plexiglass into two backing plates for the saddlemans. Yup, they is breaking free. I'll be sure to keep the motorsickle bat-trees out of em till the plexiglass is installed too!

Seriously though,

Phil, Talk to someone at Fox Creek about sizes. They have mediums but not all mediums are the same size. (I talked to Melinda at Fox Creek Leathers). They'll ask you to take a measurment so have a tape handy. Talking to them will ensure the correct medium size. Not that they charge for re-shipping, but you would have to pay for the return (to them) shipping charge.

Ahha! Joe MotoX or what dood?
Mine are at my upholsterer friend, have been for awhile. He said he could fiberglass/bondo them and make them way stronger. He came over for pool and beer the other day and I asked how they were coming along. He hung his head and mumbled about being stupid and offering to fix them. "darned things are really trashed man....I'll get to them someday."
I thinks they may not be getting fixed after all. Bummer.

A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice. Pat
