So you know that great feeling when you find $20 in your pocket? You know it's your money but you didn't know you had it so it's still really cool. Well imagine that feeling with $2500. I found out yesterday that I've been shorted $250 a month for the last 10 months so September 1st I get all that money back. I know it's kind of a bonehead thing to not notice $250 but the error happened when my pay was changing anyway which is why I didn't catch it right away. Most of that money is gonna go to bills but I can't not play with at least a bit of it. I have a black and sky blue speedmaster and I think it would look really hot if I powder coated the lower part of the forks and the triple trees black. But also I would really like a corbin seat and I'm having trouble which I should do. Comfort or looks?

When you are riding. it's hard to see the forks. Go for comfort and trust me, get a stitched pattern on the Corbin. They prove to be the most comfortable.

I'll suggest the other mod. Go for the forks. For some reason I hate the grey painted lower forks on the speedy. They just don't look right. Of course, the other guys are giving you better advice- the fork lowers are just a hot button of mine!

Now that I think about it, I'd really suggest powder coating the wheels so that they actually match! (Grrrr, my other hot button)

I don't need the big bore, didn't you see my dyno sheet?
I'm leaning more toward the forks right now because the stock seat isn't uncomfortable. Both would just be nice and not at all necessary and the forks would look sooooooooo good.

Your a yute. Why would you need something soft under your butt for at least another 10 or 20 years. Go for something silly like the powder coat or some performance mod like a good yute would.

Powdercoating's not that expensive, do both. Add some sex appeal to your Speedy and some comfort to your bum.

First let me thank everyone for their input, it really helped me make my decision. Dill, Old Rodie, you're absolutley right the seat is only 350 and the powder coating as well isn't too expensive which is why I decided to go with the Big Bore. Being that the big bore is more expensive I decided that I should probably do that while I have the money to play with. The other two I can do with my regular paychecks. And besides, the big bore will be really fun, much more so than the other two.

You're trying to figure out how you can quit work to farm while I still work two jobs, you can have as many of my problems as you want. I just happened to have a bit of good fortune for a change. Actually I thought about more ink but the one on the inside of my arm that I need finished needs to be finished by a guy in Seattle and I think I'll just wait till he's at a convention on this side of the country

Or I could get my dyno graph inked on me now and after the big bore I could get the new graph supedimposed to show the improvement.

Tim, based upon the dyno results fron NH...I saw your dyno and I saw the dyno from the big bore....and I'm thinking there wouldn't be enough of a difference between them to warent A. the cost of the bigbore B. the cost of a second tat

maybe I'm just thinking about it wrong but wouldn't boring it out add that much power? Like Pat for example, he didn't hit too big of numbers because his jetting was way off. When his bike came off the dyno the guy said that his bike was begging to be opened up all he had to do was get the settings right.

possibly...but you pulled numbers that are unheard of given the ammount (or lack of) mods you have done...I highly doubt that the dyno was off, so I got to belive the numbers...in which case even if Pat gained 5 more HP buy getting the jetting straightened out...hes got cams, carbs, BB, and head work, he would be pulling 75rwhp...you got jets and gutted pipes your pullin 68rwhp NOW... why screw with it!

I've been going back and forth in my head on weather or not it was an acurate pull. Because everyone else seemed to be just about right I can't imagine that mine was too far off if any at all. I did all the stuff to my carbs that the guy told me to do and I really felt a difference. I think you may be right though, why F with the good thing I have? I think a worth while investment for me would be to head to another dyno around here, check the numbers (and make sure my carbs are dialed in) and make the decision from there.

Roger knows his stuff! and he is one of a very few "games in town" that machine is big $$$ to him and it goes to all of the events...I GOT to belive it is VERY WELL maintained and calibrated...I see no reason at all to doubt the pull you got...as you said everyboby else was pulling expected #'s ...Like Pat said...everything about your bike just happened to be put together right...

go for the powder coating. (a lot easier to clean) As long as it starts don't mess with the engine. go to wal-mart and get some of those cab driver seat beads instead of wasting money on some fancy saddle. (Yota I said seat beads don't get confused or excited!)
