I am going to change to SM bars and risers on my America, from what I have heard this should go pretty smoothly, but do I need to disconnect any lines or cables to reroute anything or will everything just slide on the new bars.

Put a thick towel over your tank, other than that you're "In Like Flynn" (to borrow from another thread...)

You won't need to rerout, but you'll have plenty of slack. In general, I think you may feel more connected with this setup. That's the main thing I got from the same switch.

When I put Superbars on mine, did indeed have plenty of slack. Used same everything for a while, only thing that really seemed long was clutch cable. Changed to a Speedmaster clutch cable when I found one cheap.
