What is the widom on the subject of floorboards on America? Are the factory boards best? Are the good aftermarket? Are they cool, useful, too much??? Let me know what you think. They are as I can tell one of the last add ons that I don't have and may need. Alex

Alex, Do a search here for floorboards- you will find plenty of comments - most positive. Adding floorboards for me transformed the bike and how long I could ride it.

Ditto what Stewart said.....one of the best accessories I have bought for comfort. Pricey but, I really like the Triumph branding. Mine had no chrome or other quality issues. Had to shim them slightly to remove the wobble but otherwise a very nice fit.

I'd like to obtain a set of OEM forward pegs, if any you who have done the conversion would like to get rid of your left-over take-off parts. Just need the pegs themselves, not any of the other hardware. Thanks! Kevin Hunter kthunter01@sbcglobal.net

Alex,
Makes all the difference on long rides after awhile you find you can standup and let some blood into that tired ***.
The kickstand thing is the pain, but you get use to it quickly.
I love mine and went with the Triumph branded boards. I have read on the forums that you can switch them around ie left on right and right on left I think it pushes them back a little further.

I put the Triumph floor boards on a couple of months ago and I am still getting use to them. I really like them, but I am still in the process of adjusting to them. This last weekend I changed the floor Boards around so they hang out more forward. My knees are still only 1" below the tank, but it feels better for me. I forget who suggested this, but whoever it was thanks..

I like my foot pegs but Wendy has boards and loves them. I like them too they allow you to move your feet around quite a bit on longer rides. They just don't go with my riding style and the look of my scoot.

Floorboards are nice, but I had trouble with the heel/toe shifter- couldn't adjust it up far enough to fit my toe under without the heel part hitting the boards. Just bought a Speedmaster with pegs, which seem a bit too far forward...whatever feels comfortable I guess.
