This link above has got a photo of the bike - after you click on this link then click on the words 8th August, that will bring you too another page - click on the mag in top rh of the page then down the bottom lh cnr is a pic of the bike - you can enlarge it too. To me it looks like a kitted out America with radiator

Rocket-esque.
How come the 2008s are not shown on the Triumph official site?

finally - it's no longer a rumor!!

interesting....looks nice from what I can see. loooks like they've maintained the chrome console on top of the tank. This bike also appears to have bags and driving lights - maybe some sort of touring model?

Interesting. Now we know why the '08 Speedy and America have different tanks. They are using ours for the new bike.

I see a big fat exhaust pipe ala vertical twin, crash bars and dual front discs...

Is that a shaft drive I see???? Hard to tell. Can't see a chain from the right side. Really looks like an America though. Even with the water cooling, they've made the engine look like it was air cooled.

As a long-time Photoshop user, I agree. That is plainly a mashup of an America and a Rocket III.

Yeah FJ! An America...but with that "very cool" big chromed radiator on it!

Ooh!!! I sure hope the new 1500 cruiser has that "very cool" big chromed radiator!!! Nothin' says "very cool" like a big chromed RADIATOR, huh?!

(I'm puttin' my order in today, Boy!!!)

Apparently it has been featured in MCN in the UK this week, unfortunately I don't get it.

But reports are as follows it is water cooled and has two cylinders from the R3 and is shaft driven. It also looks like a speedmaster. So if anyone has MCN scan the pictures in to save me buying a copy

How about a Flying Victory radiator cap like the old Roll's had to go with that great big, Anna Nicole radiator? Now that would be CLASS!!! Take that Harley!

Wonder why it has the "old" tank? Looks like Photoshop treachery to me!

Ed,
I was thinking the same myself about a photoshop job - I thought it would have the later tank and that radiator looks like a paste job.Luv the chrome on the front fender, and the sidecover looks way stretched
We'll just have to wait & see

Does anyone here get MCN? If so, do they say what the bike will be named?

I bought it....and no, it mentions no name.

It does say that it will have 'fake' fins for 'air cooling....I just think it's a cover up for their paintshop job.

Gina 03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel... 06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel... 09 America - It's very blue....

On ya Dwight lol..that plus a shaft drive. I call photoshop shenanigans as well. Still, if this is the plan I think that 900 kit is looking good.

...yes, that is a single seat...no, I will not put the other seat on...yes, I am selfish...yes, you should buy your own bike

has anyone read the September issue of "Road Bike" magazine?
There is a review of the Speedmaster and a sideline note from some Triumph exec saying 2 new cruiser models for '08, one being new and sized between the Speedmaster and the Rocket 3, 1600-1800 cc?
