If you're thinking of spending that sort of money, why not get one custom made in the UK without the will-it-won't-it-be-comfortable worry? Shipping back to the US if they don't get it just right can be ££££££ Did you allow for the tax man's cut when the goods are shipped into the UK?
There are at least a couple of advantages to getting it made in the UK .... 1. If it's not what you're promised, you can always go back and thump the desk .. 2. Custom made is just that .. something a bit different to all the other Corbins out there.
I'm sure sticking 'custom motorcycle seats' into Google will come back with something (OK, I know it will 'cause I've just done it!).

They are great seats. Might not be THAT great...that's almost $2K USD. For that much a willing person could buy the entire set and fly round trip to England to deliver them...

If you are after a "look" then have one made locally to your specs. If you are after comfort - buy an AirHawk Cushion , your bum will thank you....

Having owned a Corbin for over 2 years, I would say no. Mine started off really well, but like others, has now gone really hard. I have spoken to Corbin who have agreed to fix it free of charge. Unfortunately I have to cover the cost of shipping both ways and as they use couriers, I am looking at a further £200.00!! If it hadn't been for the backrest, I would have binned it a while back!! I'm now looking (eventually) to find a UK based company that can/will work on it.

wow birchr, I've admired the pics of your bike here, and must say you and Nobby have made my mind up. I'll stick with the Trumph touring seat and spend my pennies on a couple of sets of floorboards. Thanks for your experience! Nick

They are comfy, but cost a lot of money, mine has gone really hard, but like Shaun says if it wasn't for the back rest I would of put the standard seat back on. Now the floorboards are expensive, but I do like them on a long journey, especially motorway work.

See you will now see how wierd I am.
I am really happy with my stock seat...the one the bike came with.
I'm spending the money on another set of boards... they really are worth it.

06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel...
09 America - It's very blue....

I really like mine but really bought it for the back rest as it makes my seated posi much more comfortable. Also the backrest holds my Ventura Bag in place over the rack so there's a double reason for why I love my setup. Now the bad stuff. I find the seat itself more comfortable than the stock but, just where my tailbone meets the seat there is only about 5mm of padding due to the construction for the backrest post. So after an hour or so it gets really uncomfortable just there. This means I will have to either take the seat to someone to sort it out or get a sheepskin cover or something. So for me I don't regret spending the big bucks but Corbin needs a good kick up the butt for selling a seat that is not up to scratch. That's my 2 cents worth.

As I've said in other threads, the stitching in the seat panel makes a huge comfort difference. Anyone who has sat my bike can attest to this fact. This is mine with a pattern called DT Stitch

I've just bitten the bullet and bought an airhawk. My missus can't believe it after spending (I can't say it_ a lot of moolah on a corbin single with backrest. Anyway like I've said, I still love the corbin and what it offers and particularly the backrest and it's abiltity to hold the ventura but, it's just that little problem I can't get round without professional help. So I figured the airhawk will be the answer to all my woes. In fact I haven't heard one bad comment about them over hear or anyway over there so with spring just round the corner I'm getting pretty excited Just wanted to let you all know.
