I'm riding home yesterday and suddenly my bike starts running bad and popping really loud. Seems like its running REALLY lean. I reach down and pull the choke a bit and it stops. I get home and go to check the mixture screws and the right side is gone
I find the spring sitting on the engine case. Never had this happen on any bike before. They were adjusted about 3 to 3.25 turns. Any reason one would work itself out?

Is the O-ring and washer still in there? The O-ring usually keeps it 'tight enough' to not work itself out. If you cannot find a replacement, let me know. I still have my stock ones (flathead adjustable type). Can't help with the O-ring and washer though.

I don't think so, unless they are stuck up there. I will check when home. Thanks! Do you have the thumb screws from Brent? If so what do you think? I figured if I had to buy I may check them out.

Take a mirror and see if they are still stuck up there. Gonna save you some grief!

Yes, I do have thumb screws. I love being able to adjust them without any cut down screwdrivers or D tools....
