Mark, see what you think about this routeStarting point Amesville, CT is around 1,000 feet from Toymakers. Figure two hours From Toymakers to Southfield, MA / route 272. It affords two waterfall views and a few places to stop for a cool soft drink if so desired.

Martin
PM me your number. If I head out there I'll ring you in the A.M. when I'm on the road. I know the area well. My daughter goes to camp Isola Bella which is right on Twin Lakes. We always go out the Pike to exit 2 and then down through Stockbridge and Great Barrington. I'll sleep on it tonight. Just not sure if I want to do 4-5 hours myself on top of the rest of the ride.
My mind and body are still out of tune
I hope they run into each other real soon "

What a great day!
MIke from TRAT(on his Tiger) met me at 08:30 in Norwalk, and we took the scenic route to Toymakers. There we met Bucky(and Carla), Matt, and Jonathan. They had breakfast, and my order got misplaced. So, I went hungry.
Martin(Bucky) took us on a nice ride through the foothills of the Berkshires, stopping at 2 waterfalls to hang out. Great Falls in Falls Village, and Bash Bish falls on the NY/Mass border. The weather was picture perfect! And, I'm sure a good time was had by all.
Now, what to do tomorrow????? Uncle Charlie

Yes Matt, Erwin was at Tech Day II. No prob w/the blasting by, I coulda take'n ya if I wanted to!
Funny thing, My buddy that I called from Bash Bish Falls(love say'n that), and his son, were following us down 22 in their p/u's! I saw the p/u my friend Pete was driving with a load of firewood in the back, and I thought to myself: I don't wanna be behind that thing. Didn't realise it was him.
Anyhoo, Matt, you owe me a buck, and I'm looking forward to more rides.
I miss Big Poppy already, Uncle Charlie

I'm just glad I didn't have to give CPR to Martin after he climbed back up from the falls. My galley faucet leaks more than that thing was flowing!
A good time, Uncle Charlie
