Hi All.

In wandering thru the posts trying to learn a little something about my new TBA, I have observated that you folks here are an unusually friendly and helpful (and talkative!) crowd...much more so than any of the other forums of various topics which I frequent.

And especially thanks to OldRoadie for helping me find my bike.

Welcome Michael, this is the best forum on the net if you are interested in the Bonneville America/Speedmaster. The members are very helpful and will give you some really good advice on everything to do with your bike

I monitor a very few other forums (can't stay off of this one), and it is humbling to log on to one after several weeks, and realize you did not miss much.

That won't happen here!

I have said it before - this has to be one of the "most active" forums on the internet - certainly of those pertaining to motorcycles, and then consider that this forum is dedicated primarily to only two models in the Triumph line! How blessed we are.

And right you are - very friendly, helpful folk here, and worldwide, too (since 2002)(had to throw that in) .

I have to wonder how many Triumphs have been sold directly due to this forum and the ability of ourselves to convince the prospective buyer that Triumph IS the way to go?!

THIS FORUM SOLD ME MY SPEEDMASTER! Hands down, pure and simple - I would not have ever learned enough about it from Triumph literature, the media, or the salesman to ever have made that decision...I'd be on a HONDA.

We (at least Robert)should get some official credit/recognition from Triumph for that....

This forum definitely helped me make my final decision. My Triumph salesman didn't know SQUAT (and half of what he thought he knew was wrong)! The HD salesman, who knew I was debating between two bikes, actually gave me more facts on the Triumph than the Triumph salesman did (and never said anything negative). Hated to see him not get a commission.

Same here! I always wanted a Triumph, then finally finding out that they were back in production i stumbled upon this forum. This forum helped me tremendously with all the massive info that's here...not only that, i found my TBA directly because of finding this forum.

Welcome Mike I am sure that you will find this site as addicting as your new bike. I am planning on going to Bham for the Barbers Vintage Festival in Oct. It will be my first time to visit the Museum and the festival. Any others from this site planning on going to the festival? It would be nice to meet some of you guys and gals there.
