I have a Memphis Shades Memphis Slim windshield and their lowers on my bike. I screwed with the lowers when I put them on and got them where I get the least amount of buffeting. (At least from what I remember.)I still have a fair amount of wind coming up the sides of the tank and under my helmet shield and it is really getting annoying. I have them about 6 inches below the bottom of my windshield and angled pretty much straight out to the side. I was wondering where you guys have yours and how much of the buffeting have they really eliminated. Is there a better alternative?

I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger......and then it hit me.

I have mine on the lower fork all the way at the top and angled back a few deg, seems to help a lot more since I angled them back @5 Deg.

Im at the bottom of the lower yoke, no angle. They do pretty good. I still get some wind but they definately help. I still goof around with them on occasion. I did find that I wanted some wind to help keep me cool.

I don't know what I was thinking. I ran my lowers up to the bottom of the lower fork bracket and angled them back just a touch. What a difference!!!!! I also lowered my windshield about an inch to close the gap a little between the two. Much more tolerable. Thanks guys!!!

Mine were at the top of the lower yoke, and angled in very slightly. very comfy and no wind buffetting from the sides of the tank

I am surprised that there would be that much support for the Memphis Shades lowers when they are attached to the fork shroud lowers, even if it is at the top of the fork shroud lowers (just below the lower fork tree). Those fork shroud lowers are only supported by two screws and it is easy to shake those fork shroud lowers around with just your hank. However, I have never seen the Memphis Shades lowers, but I was thinking of getting a pair this winter.

Tom, They rest solid and don't move anything. I have a set on the upper fork shrouds (requires different mounts)and they work nice in conjuction with the driving lights which hide them.

Eddy, I like that. That is where I thought that they should be mounted (on the upper fork shrouds). Also, do you have yours rotated to be slightly in front of the windshield, or could I rotate the brackets to do that? If so, that might keep the wind/turbulence from coming from between the forks and up over the tank.
Is that a MS Alley Cat windshield?

I have mine rotated backwards to accomdate the light bar, loks cool that way and it did make a difference in airflow. I didn't want lowers but they made enough of a difference that I kept them on.
I have the mounts for the uppers. But I do think that the lower mounts do make a difference too.
I have not tried this option yet but one of the members mounted teh lowers via one of the lower windshield mounts by removing a spacer.
